This ride is a component of the ‘Great Ride’ (a 4-day iconic New Zealand trail ride that begins and ends in Queenstown). This portion begins Arrowtown and is for those who love nature, scenery and history. It offers fabulous landscapes and since the trail is an easy Grade 2, it's a good option for families (inlcuding those with kids) or for those who are just starting to enjoy cycling.

Pack your family and a picnic before hitting the trails to appreciate some of the best scenery and views that New Zealand has to offer. This ride begins in the historic Arrowtown Chinese Settlement, and ends at the picturesque Kawarau suspension bridge. This ride is a component of the ‘Great Ride’ (a 4-day iconic New Zealand trail ride that begins and ends in Queenstown) and it’s an easy Grade 2 making it suitable for beginners and families

The Arrow River Bridges trail meanders along the banks of the Arrow River. You’ll be seeing or crossing the Swain Family Bridge, Southern Discoveries suspension bridge, Knights Family Underbridge, Edgar Suspension Bridge before ending at the Kawarau Suspension Bridge.
Each of those bridges and surrounds offers multiple photo stop opportunities and a variety of sometime spectacular picturesque vistas. There’s something for everyone.
This is a reasonably easy trail (grade 2) that families or groups can enjoy and is suitable for all levels of riders.
