Dewar to Atley Terrace

A local high point.

LOCALS SAY

This is a mixed-use track that climbs to 1310 meters (the summit of Mount Dewar) which is less challenging than you may think considering that you're starting at 1200m in height when you join the trail but those who struggle at higher elevations may need to take it easy.

Trail Notes

Since it’s mixed use, you need to watch for walkers. This trail includes a reasonably steep descent 859m (and thus a reasonably steep ascent for those retracing their tracks). You’ve got some photo drama with dramatic ridgelines and snow-capped peaks. These also some nice spots to have a picnic while absorbing the views.

The best place to access this trail is via Skippers Saddle car park (off of Coronet Peak Rd) and take the Devils Creek track (an old 4wd track) to the access point of this track.

But wait, there's more...
