Beech Forests and Berms.

LOCALS SAY

This is one of the most highly rated tracks at Fernhill. This advanced track has a few surprises to ambush complacent riders including some exposed drops and a few tight squeezes where the trail narrows. You can expect some berms, a bridge and a rock garden.

Trail Notes

This 3.6km track was hacked out by hand through the beech forests. The trail is quite high (930 meters) so check that the trail is open when making plans in winter as snow can close it. The trail also weaves through beech forests and branches can come down and it pays to be cautious in dodgy weather. It’s a primarily uphill trail and is popular with walkers – dogs are also allowed so stay alert.

This trail can be accessed off of Upper Hammy’s track in the Queenstown Bike Park. You can ride up Skyline Access Road (**or take the Gondola if that’s what you fancy) and head towards the Ben Lomond trail.

But wait, there's more...
