Bob's Cove loop

A loop through forest beside the lake.

LOCALS SAY

This is a nice easy reasonably short trail that’s good for a family ride. The trail loops through native bush (with plenty of New Zealand wild life) and has wonderful spots to pause and enjoy some of the finest scenery Otago has to offer.

Trail Notes

There’s some nice wide terrain here (which makes it popular with walkers so remain alert) and the easy-to-follow track undulates through the wilderness and follows the lake. You can take photos by the pier or enjoy a spot of lake side fishing and a picnic. There’s a climb at the end of the trail (depending on your direction) but it’s still worth completing. You should be able to finish this track in under an hour.

You can access this looped trail directly off of Glenorchy Queenstown Road. There’s a carpark at the trail entry making this trail a short and convenient option for those without much time.
