Coronet Face Water Race Trail

Retrace a historical reclaimed water race

LOCALS SAY

Follow a historic water race through the Wakatipu Basin across the face of Coronet. Once you're past HotRod, there's a lot less traffic so this trail is good if you want something less busy or a seeking a little bit of seclusion. There are also places to get your feet wet on hot days.

Trail Notes

A tussock and beech forest-lined dual-use trail that offers some twists and turns and a couple of mountain meadow suprises for explorers, but still relatively easy to intermediate ride.

Start at the top of the flow trail that winds its way down the face of Coronet, pass the start of Hot Rod (another trail).
Follow the path as it weaves through stunning mountain vista’s including forest, rockeries and meadows.
