Jack's Point Trail

An advanced thigh burner ride with views that make the effort worth it.

LOCALS SAY

A challenging half day ride for more advanced riders, whose efforts will give them access to sweeping mountain views of the Remarkables and stunning Otago lake and tussock vistas. There are some steep climbs, descents and a couple of tight bends for the more technical riders.

Trail Notes

This component of the ‘Great Ride’ trail is one of the most spectacular sections of the Queenstown Trails and is the ideal ride for those seeking solitude and less busy paths. It’s a nice gravel track, but can be quite technical in areas so less experienced riders may want to walk their bikes through some sections.

This Grade 4 ride starts in Jardine Park and connects to the Kelvin Peninsula Trail either by a short road section on Poplar Drive or the slightly more technical Kelvin Peninsula Lakeside Trail which is signposted from the end of the Kelvin Heights Sculpture Trail and ending at Jack’s point.

But wait, there's more...
