Salmon Run

A down hill teeth rattler.

LOCALS SAY

A legendary descent with berms, drops, jumps, rock faces and gardens. Pay attention or this precipitous track (which incorporates sharp turns, severe inclines and switchbacks just for funsies) will show you the error of your ways.

Trail Notes

There’re some highly technical sections which is how this trail earned its Double black diamond. Dogs are allowed – (it’s a shared track) so you’ll need to keep your eyes on the ground, on those who are sharing the trail and on Rover while you make your way through pine forests and weave through some exposed section before hitting the forest roots and rock gardens. If you’re looking to push yourself, this trail throws a little bit of everything at you for rollicking good fun.

You can reach this trail via the Salmon Ladder (another short trail which is accessed off of the Fernhill Loop link (from Fernhill access road across from Atlas Wynyard Jump Park).

But wait, there's more...
