Downhill Trails in Queenstown

This 2.4km trail follows an old miner’s trail. The (overall) 42m climb is reasonably gradual so it’s not too challenging but this track does have technical sections and is rated intermediate so riders need to be aware of narrow sections as well as a few high edges which will test them.

Rude Rock is a downhill only singletrack ride that runs from the peak to the base by Skippers Canyon Road. You'll hardly need to pedal but this is still an advanced track offering up some drops and jumps.

This 1.9km Intermediate (Grade 3) trail is a cracker of a jump trail with some 60+ table top jumps to keep you entertained (and hopefully) on your pedals. There are some options for more advanced riders (grade 4). The jumps are rollable but ensure that you ride to your skill level and check the jumps out first if you aren’t sure.

CLOSED FOR WINTER - Just like Missing Link 'Lower' you have to climb, climb, climb to get there. In fact, it'll take you 5 times as long to get up to the starting point as it will to come down this single-track black diamond run but once you're coming down it? Oh yeah, it's worth all the effort.

A legendary descent with berms, drops, jumps, rock faces and gardens. Pay attention or this precipitous track (which incorporates sharp turns, severe inclines and switchbacks just for funsies) will show you the error of your ways.

This mixed-use track weaves its way through scrub and pittosporums to emerge in the high-country granting riders mixed countryside views of gentle farmlands, towering snow-capped peaks (season dependent) and sparkling lake waters.

Stoney Creek is a very advanced trail (black diamond) and includes compulsory jump gaps - so be warned. Expect surprises because these trails will deliver (especially Stoney Creek). Both of these trails are quite short but offer uniquely different rides for different skill levels.
